What are standard storage container sizes from Apple Truck and Trailer?
International standard (ISO) storge container sizes are 20'L x 8'W x 8'6"H, 40'L x 8'W x 8'6"H, and 40'L x 8'W x 9'6"H ("high-cube").
What are Apple Trailer storage containers made of?
Modern ISO containers are constructed of steel with hardwood flooring.
Are the containers new or used?
Apple Truck And Trailer sells both new and used storage containers in MA. New containers come directly from the factory, having carried just one load of cargo. Used containers are available in a range of conditions.
How does Apple Trailer grade used containers?
  • As-is: severe damage possible, with repair to a higher grade not economically feasible
  • Wind-and-watertight: a basic storage grade, with all container structure intact, Grade A more cosmetically appealing than Grade B
  • Cargoworthy: meets international standards for marine transport
  • IICL5: the highest grade of used storage container, conforms to the most current maintenance and repair criteria of the Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL)
How are the containers delivered?
Storage containers are delivered by truck and tilt trailer. A tilt-bed truck allows the container to be positioned on the ground at the delivery location.
How should I prepare the ground for delivery?
Your container should be placed on firm, dry, level ground, i.e. pavement, gravel, or hard dirt.
How much room is required for storage delivery?
For a 20' container: 60' of straight running room; for a 40' container: 110' of straight running room.
How is Massachusetts Storage payment made?
Once you've ordered your container, Apple Trailer will issue you an invoice. Once your invoice is paid via check, money order, wire transfer, or cash, Apple will confirm your container delivery date.
How long does the entire process take?
With immediate payment, you can usually have your containers on site within 2-3 days.
